  1. Mōrena Room 1,

Welcome to Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu for 2018. I'm James, and although I don't officially work with Manaiakalani any more, I still really enjoy dropping in to class blogs and sharing in the learning. What an awesome flipgrid! Very cool to see the equipment- what about a jungle explorer, would they need an ice axe? William Pike is a modern day explorer of sorts (you should Google him) and is currently on a boat with the NZ Navy heading to the Kermadec Islands!!! He's back in about two weeks and will be sharing his experiences- look out for his posts online. I can't wait to see more of your thinking and sharing throughout the year.

  2. Kia ora Room 1,
My name is Tania and I am the Manaiakalani Facilitator who looks after Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu. I live in Whangarei which is right up the top of the North Island, quite a long way from where you live on the West Coast of the South Island. Have any of you ever explored the North Island? Has anyone ever been to Whangarei to explore? I have been to explore the West Coast a couple of times and would like to come again. I loved the wild West Coast beaches. I really liked how you used Flipgrid and video clips to share your learning about explorers. Thanks heaps for sharing. I look forward to following your class blog and seeing more learning.
    Tania
